REACH UPOur new pastor approached my husband and myself and asked if we were ready to go to another level? Going to another level meant we were going to be stretched. I did not realize until I began to this word study how accurate that statement was going to be!
(At the time I wrote this we had just found out that we were pregnant and under new church leadership and were considering being groomed to become Pastors.)
What does Reach Up mean? The first word Reach has a Lithuanian origin which means to STRETCH ONES SELF. The word Up itself has a positive tone, the word Up is partly Middle English, Old English, Latin and Greek meaning to Move to a Higher Position. Reaching according to the dictionary means to cause you to take Place, to have an Effect or to cause to take place.
Ponder This Question
What is required for you to bring something about and to cause something to take place?
It is a very simple verb with much potential, you have to DO!
According to Webster’s’ Online Dictionary, DO itself means TO BRING TO PASS!
So ladies are we willing to Reach up to God so He can Reach Down and Stretch us UP-ward and create the capacity to hold what He wills for our lives?
